Anxiety:

Dr. Metcalfe has seen many cases of anxiety, and feels that the incidence is increasing and the onset is beginning at younger ages. There are many ways to treat anxiety, and it is important to rule out what is causing you to feel this way. You should keep a diary and record when you most feel anxious along with how much you’ve slept the night before and things that you’ve eaten. See if there are any obvious patterns, especially with lack of sleep and dietary stimulants. Try to deal with those things that make you anxious, and avoid or get rid of them in your life. Signs and Symptoms:

Feelings of panic that generally last from a few minutes up to two hours.
Feeling of terror or impending doom, or that something bad will happen.
Heart palpitations, premature heart beats, sticking/sharp chest pain

Set a regular sleep schedule for 8 full hours of sleep a night.

Do something nice for yourself every single day.
Exercise every single day for at least one hour including cardiovascular and weight training.

Dietary Changes:

Avoid CAFFEINE and all other stimulants.
Eat 6 small meals daily to avoid hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Make sure that each meal contains 20 grams of low fat protein.
Drink plenty of water
