Description:
Recancostat is a U.S. Patent 5,925,620 redox modulator combining reduced glutathione (GSH) and AnthoRedoxin™. AnthoRedoxin is an exclusive preparation of anthocyanins shown to protect GSH from oxidation even under conditions of oxidative stress. GSH is essential to a broad range of cellular functions in the human body including antioxidation, detoxification, DNA synthesis and repair, immune function and redox modulation. Extensive research indicates many chronic degenerative conditions are associated with depletion of GSH. GSH can be depleted by exposure to toxins, drugs, smoking, chronic alcohol use, intestinal permeability defects and other conditions.
